D'or Art Consultant - Mia Weinberg

Mia Weinberg brings a diverse background to her role as artist and art consultant with D'or Art. Born in England, Mia trained in materials technology and worked in a variety of manufacturing industries before moving to Vancouver in 1987. She graduated from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in 1994 having studied industrial design, studio art, and photography. Mia received her MA from Simon Fraser University in 2003.

Having spent six years on the National and British Columbia boards of the arts advocacy group CARFAC (Canadian Artists' Representation), Mia is networked with Canadian artists across the country. By bringing together her art, industrial design and manufacturing experience, Mia can create custom artwork for D'or Art clients that "tells their story."

D'or Art Consultant - Shawne MacIntyre

Shawne MacIntyre is a Personal Property Appraiser specializing in fine art, antiques and decorative art. She joins the D'or Art team as an Art Appraiser and Art Consultant. She has an Honours Bachelors degree from the University of Waterloo and received her Master of Museum Studies degree from the University of Toronto where she focused on Art History and Material Culture studies.

Shawne has ten years of experience in the art and heritage industry. She is a Fine Arts specialist (paintings, watercolours, drawings, graphic arts, sculpture) with strength in Canadian Art, Ethnographic Material (Inuit and First Nations) and European Fine and Decorative Art. Her additional areas of valuation experience include: furniture, photographs, Japanese woodblock prints, icons, glass, silver, porcelain, lighting, rugs and carpets, tapestries and garden statuary.
