Barrie Chadwick, SFCA, MAIBC, is an artist in a dual love affair - with two countries - Australia and Canada. Born and raised on the east coast of Australia, he now lives and works in Vancouver, on the west coast of Canada. Working mostly in acrylics, and occasionally in watercolours, his work depicts the sunlight and shade, and atmospheric effects of landscapes and seascapes from both sides of the Pacific. His work is impressionistic, with a distinctive palette and brushwork which is instantly recognizable. His work has been showcased in International Artist magazine, Issue 29, Feb/Mar 2003 under the section "Master Painters of the World - Canada". More recently his work is shown as one of the Finalists in Issue 49, June/July 2006, in the "Seascapes, Rivers and Lakes" Competition. Galleries in British Columbia carry his work, and his paintings may be found in private and corporate collections in Canada, USA and Australia.
